 Third Space Learning (Primary Maths)

‘With home learning now taking place all around the country, we've put together a collection of guides, advice, tips and additional teaching resources to support parents over the coming weeks.

These have all been written with parents in mind and are packed with loads of ideas to keep children engaged with maths at home.’

Home learning guidance also from Third Space Learning:

National Literacy Trust

‘We have developed a new web portal for parents, Family Zone, to support them during this time.’
This includes ideas and guidance as well as links to video and audio resources; it is divided into resources for 3 age groups – birth to 4, 5 – 8, 9 – 12.

STEM Learning

Six of the resources on this site https://www.stem.org.uk/stem-clubs/featured-resources provide ideas for practical, fun science activities that you may not have tried before – three for 7-9 year olds and three for 9-11 year olds.

This area on the STEM site https://www.stem.org.uk/home-learning has free resources for home learning as well as in-school support.

Coram Beanstalk

This blog https://www.beanstalkcharity.org.uk/Blog/five-book-based-games-to-engage-any-reader provides just what it says!

Crick Software

During the COVID-19 outbreak, the company is offering free access to Clicker@home for schools closed by the coronavirus outbreak; presumably, this means all schools.  Information is on the website https://www.cricksoft.com/uk/clicker/clicker-at-home about how to apply for the free software to help learners by providing ‘child-friendly word processing support that will enable pupils of all abilities to work independently and engaging resources on a wide range of curriculum topics to kick-start writing.’

Animal Webcams

For something completely different, while visits aren’t possible we can still watch animals!  You will need Google Chrome for some of the cameras accessed from this site: https://www.countryliving.com/uk/wildlife/countryside/g31784857/live-animal-webcam-zoo/
